The worst part of the whole procedure was having Issac tied down. He screamed the entire time we were in the room, not because it hurt, but because he couldn't move his body. The doctor was shocked when Issac lifted his body off the board. Mommy, daddy, and baby were all a little traumatized and ready to for a relaxing nap at home as soon as it was done.
Is that what they told you: it didn't hurt,it was Because he was tied down? If that were really the case lady, you'd be able to hold them during this unnecessary procedure. Of course it hurt like hell. Stop trying to fool yourself and hopefully you'll spare any future babies further agony and not do it the next time.
ReplyDeleteI'd lift my body off the board too - and not just because I was strapped down. If I could, I'd punch the doctor so hard it would lift HIS body off the ground.
ReplyDeleteWow. Just wow. I am sure you don't what to hear this but your son's image is floating around Facebook right now, going viral, and thousands of people are literally crying over how awful it looks, how terrified your son looks. Why do people choose to do this to their brand new babies when the AAP doesn't even recommend it? I just hope it was medically necessary. If not, well, it is between you and your son to hash it out later.

Why??? This breaks my heart, you didn't have to do this to your son. You couldn't possibly believe that it didn't hurt that poor innocent baby. Your baby was born perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry no one gave you accurate information about keepIng your perfect son intact before you took his choice of a whole body away.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to remove this post, it's not a good idea to post about MGM with such ignorance.
Again I'm sorry you did this to your son you were supposed to protect.
Oh man, too bad you didn't research your decision first. I almost made the same mistake about a year ago. I thought NO WAY would I not circumcise... it's just what you do! But boy was I wrong! Just 5 min into my research I realized what a horrible, barbaric, unnecessary procedure it really was. I saved my son and have helped educate so many people around me. Even though it is too late for your son, you can learn from this and help others avoid what your poor son went through. Also look into foreskin restoration. He'll never have 100% of the feeling back but it will restore a lot of the sensitivity necessary for a proper sexual experience.
ReplyDeleteHe might hate you for it someday. I know many circumcised men who hate their parents for the terrible mutilation and violation of rights. I had a good long talk with my parents about respecting my human rights. You should not have done this to him.
